Review: Max Factor Facefinity All Day Primer

I don’t think I have ever tried a MaxFactor base before. I’ve tried a few of their mascars over the years. Like when the Master Piece mascaras came and they were all the hype. Spoiler alert, my eyes didn’t like them. But I’ve never tried their foundations or anything else. If I have, they have totally skipped my mind.
However, I decided to give this one a go after having read up on it in different reviews and stuff. Did you know that the primer was specifically asked to be created as a stand alone product after having appeared in the All Day Flawless 3 in 1 foundation? Or at least, so I’ve heard.

It has the following claims online:
”All Day Primer is oil free and has SPF20. Does not clog the pores and is dermatologically tested so it will even suit the more sensitive skintypes. The All Day Primer formula stays flexible on the skin and combats flaking and fading of the foundation. With its powdercomplex it absorbs any excess oils and gives a smooth even finish. Suits all foundations without build in primers.”

I’ve used it for about two weeks now and I can honestly say that I like it! It feels very lightweight, moisturizing somehow and the tiniest bit silicony. Not in a disturbing way. It smooths everything out and makes my faoundation glide on even better. However, I’ve noticed that I get very shiny in the middle of the day. I never do that and the only thing I’ve changed is the primer. So I don’t really agree with that claim. It doesn’t clog my pores and haven’t broken me out yet. It does make my skin look smoother so that’s a bonus! But for the longevity of my foundation, I would say the Rimmel one does a better job.
I like it but I wish it wouldn’t make me look shiny halfway through the day.

Have you tried it?
