L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion foundation
I picked this up a few weeks ago and given it a roadtest.
First off, can we just admire the packaging? The colors are gorgeous and I love the lavender metallic on this. The packaging is a bit clunky and plasticky but has a nice weight to it.
This is what it says on Boots website about the foundation:
“The cushion technology redefines the application of foundation, the cushion is drenched in lightweight liquid foundation and enriched with pure water for fresh and seamless application.
A new gesture in foundation, tap-tap your way to create a natural luminous look, the non-absorbing applicator works to build sheer to medium coverage by gliding the applicator onto the skin.
Fresh foundation formula is infused with pure water for an instant cooling effect that hydrates when applied to skin. Enriched with SPF 29 UV protection.
Our 1st cushion foundation, L’Oreal Paris Nude Magique Cushion, a luminous liquid foundation infused in a innovative cushion that delivers the perfect amount of make-up for a fresh finish.
The Tap-Tap applicator and weightless formula combine to create customisable coverage, that is effortlessly buildable from sheer to medium coverage.
Tap a little for a sheer luminous finish, tap a lot for buildable medium coverage.
Available in 7 shades.”
It is a very lightweight formula with very very sheer coverage. You can build it up to a light coverage, but there is no way you will get anywhere near medium coverage out of this. It feels very fresh and cooling on the skin and lasts about four to six hours on me before I have to either powder it down or re-apply it, which I don’t have the time for at work. This is a perfect natural no-makeup makeup if that makes sense. It blends beautifully into the skin.
I got the shade porcelain, it was very hard finding anything about the shades, which were yellow toned or pink toned.
I’m not entirely sure about the tap tap cushion on this. It says that you can remove the cushion to clean it but I haven’t tried that yet. I really like this but somehow I wish more out of it. I feel like it’s missing something. So far it hasn’t broken me out or irritated my skin in any way, so that is a major bonus point.
Over here this is a pricey number so I picked it up at a reduced price when I was placing an order with Feelunique.
Here it retails for 199SEK (£17.77 $23.23 and 20.96 Euro) but I only paid 69SEK (£6.14 $8.06 and 7.27Euro)
