Clinique Superdefense CC Cream – First Impression
I placed an order on Kicks a while back. If you aren’t familiar with what Kicks is it’s like Sephora, but smaller, less interesting and doesn’t carry as many brands. The Clinique Superdefense CC Cream was one of the things I ordered. I’ve been eyeing it before but couldn’t find it in store. It’s a travel size on 15ml. It’s very tiny. Like a luxury sample size. Perfect for trying it out and enough to make up your mind about it.
I didn’t like it. I didn’t like it from the first try and now on my third I still don’t like it. It smells like old dry cookies. Even though I got it in the shade light/medium it oxidises very dark after just a couple of hours. No matter if you set it with powder and setting spray. This is just on my skin, mind you. it sits very funny, like a mask on top of your face. It feels like it wont blend with your skin. And for being a CC cream it’s very thick. I used a BB cream a while back from Garnier that was very light, so I thought a CC cream would be somewhere along the same line. But not this one. The coverage is light to medium. I dare not put a second layer on to see if it covers even more since it wont blend with my face. It exaggerates every little thing that’s going on on my face. But at least it has SPF30. So far I haven’t had any allergic reactions to it.
I’m happy I got the more affordable travel size. Had I splurged on the regular size, I would be one very disappointed girl. First shot at Clinique and I’m not that impressed. I am sure they can do so much better.
